Dog Warden / Shelter

We are a county-run facility supervised by Pound Dog Partners of Guernsey County, our local non-profit animal welfare organization. The shelter is located in Cambridge, Ohio, serving the entire Guernsey County area. While we make every possible effort to re-home our animals, we are not a no kill shelter; as circumstances dictate, it may be necessary to euthanize due to illness, aggression, or overcrowding.

We are located at the intersection of I70 and I77 in Southeastern OH. Adoption fee is $90.00. This includes every dog will be leaving the shelter spayed or neutered and have a current rabies vaccine.

To inquire about adoption or for any other concerns you may call the shelter (740-432-2219) between the hours of 9-5 Mon through Fri and 9-3 on Saturday. If coming from out of town, please call first to make sure the dog you are interested in is still available. The shelter is located at 62824 Bennett Ave. Cambridge, Ohio 43725 (click here for directions). Approved rescues also welcome!!!!
